Meet Sarah

I truly believe everyone has the right to joy and the potential to thrive – not just to survive or function. Everyone is worthy of having hopes and dreams.

I challenge clients around beliefs that don’t serve them, such as imposter syndrome or shame. I always work in the best interests of the client and within a compassion framework.

I’m deeply passionate about ethics and I’m always direct – I’m not a therapist who will merely sit and nod. I will take your inner world very seriously, placing meaning and value on who you are.

I have over 10 years’ experience working within the charity and mental health sector and health and social care. I love meeting new people and learning about their unique inner worlds.

I’ve also had to process, overcome and realign myself due to various complex relationships I’ve had in my life; I categorise myself as a relational therapist.

I deeply value science and academia, I completed primary research as part of my MSc master’s programme – everything I do as a therapist is evidence driven and a reflection of my values.

I’m a nature enthusiast and a believer in life and people (and animals too!). I’m a lover of anything that speaks to my soul.

I’m originally from Cumbria and often seen as down to earth and warm, I’m proud of my northern accent which I feel has served me well as a therapist.

My training and qualifications

With an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy, I bring extensive training, evidence-based approaches, and professional knowledge to my practice. I also have a BSc in Social Policy.
